5. Comenzando a Pintar Operation: Icestorm.

He comenzado a pintar las miniaturas de la caja de inicio del juego Infinity, Operation: Icestorm.

Las miniaturas tienen un nivel de detalle realmente impresionante, aparte de una estética que, personalmente, me encanta.

Hello everyone.

I started painting the miniatures from the Infinity starter box, Operation: Icestorm.

The miniatures have a really impressive level of detail, apart from an aesthetic that I myself love.

Introducción/ Introduction 

El pintado de las miniaturas de Infinity corre a cargo de Ángel Giráldez, el cual subió en su momento un paso a paso de los modelos de la caja de inicio que podéis ver en este enlace. Podéis ver todas las miniaturas de la caja pintadas por Ángel en este otro enlace.

Voy a seguir un proceso parecido al que aparece en los enlaces, aunque no espero alcanzar el mismo nivel ni de cerca.

Para estos primeros pasos he utilizado el pack de colores básicos para aerógrafo de acrílicos vallejo que podéis encontrar aquí.

The painting process of Infinity miniatures is borne by Angel Giraldez, which did a step by step of the starter box models that you can see in this link. You can see all the miniatures of the box painted by Ángel in this link.

I will follow a similar process to the one in the links, but I have no hopes of achieving the same level.

For these first steps I used the pack of basic colors for airbrush from acrylics Vallejo which you can find here.

Imprimación/ Priming

Primero aplico una capa base de negro a todas las miniaturas mediante aerógrafo. Esta capa debe ser homogénea y cubrir las zonas de sombra.

First I apply a base coat of black on all the models by airbrush. This layer must be homogeneous and cover shadow areas.

Marcar Volúmenes/ Highlighting Volumes

A continuación aplico finas capas de blanco para marcar los volúmenes y luces. Esta capa no tiene que ser homogénea y debe aplicarse desde dónde incida la luz en la miniatura, es decir, desde arriba y con un cierto ángulo.

Then I apply thin layers of white to highlight the volumes and lights. This layer does not have to be homogeneous and should be applied from where the light hits the miniature: from an angle above.

Yo quizá me he excedido y sería preferible aplicar menos cantidad de blanco.

I may have exceeded using white so it would be better to apply less of it.

Capa base/ Base Layer

Por último aplicamos el color predominante en las miniaturas. Azul y rojo en este caso.

Finally we apply the principal color in the models. Blue and red for these.
